Magic Kingdom Photo Sessions

Walt Disney World vacations are so magical, you’ll want to capture every moment. When visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth there are several ways to capture your memories.

Walt Disney Worlds Memory Maker photo package is a must do. Stopping for a photo when you see a Disney Photopass photographer in the parks and Disney Springs is the easiest way to make sure everyone in your travel party gets in the photo. No more pictures without you in them! You also get the photos taken on some of the rides. The Disney photographers can add a little Disney magic to some of your shots. They call it a magic shot! Whenever you are having a photo taken, ask them if they have a magic shot!

TIP: Memory Marker package can be added to your Walt Disney World vacation package for $169.00. If you are just going for one day you can purchase it for $69. But it cannot be part of a package. If you forget to add it to your package and you get to Disney and want it, it will cost you more than $169.00 so make sure you add it – or make sure you tell me when I am booking your next magical trip for you!

Walt Disney World also offers what is called “Capture Your Moment” photo sessions around the four theme parks. I did this my last trip with my two-year-old great niece in Magic Kingdom. You pick the park and get a time. They are 20-minute sessions with a Disney Photopass photographer. You let them know if you are celebrating anything special or what type of photos you are wanting. This was my niece’s first trip, and they had the sign for us. We brought a few extra props for the shoot. As you can imagine, trying to get a two-year-old still for photos is not easy at all. The photographer has so much practice and was so kind. It was a hot day, so he also moved us into the inside of the castle in the shade and got some great shots of her.

I know, a two-year-old in the heat, what was I thinking! Well, it was the only time they had left, we wanted to do it, and so we gave it a shot.

Packages are available in all four theme parks, and new locations were just added to Capture Your Moment at Magic Kingdom Park. One session cost $99, but can include up to eight Guests and is well worth every dime. The photos do not come with the session, but if you get the Disney Memory Maker you will get all the photos with it!

Reservations are available online through Disney’s official website (note: the new sessions around Fantasyland will be available to book starting April 24, 2023, but reservations can typically be made 60 days in advance.)

With the new photo spots in Fantasyland, guests with little ones visiting Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique may be particularly interested in the experience. If this applies to you, be sure to book your photo session at least two hours after your start time at BBB so that you can make it to both reservations.

I would be happy to help you plan a magical trip and make sure you don’t miss out on any of the added magic. Please contact me at annat@wishesfamilytravel.com and follow me on Facebook.
